Behaviour Chart & Lightbulb MomentsA hand-drawn behaviour chart to display in the classroom. I clip a peg for each child onto 'Ready to Learn' and they move up and down accordingly. Move up then be told to move up again, and you get a sticker. Move below 'Ready to Learn' and you lose privileges like being a class 'minion'. I've chosen the wording carefully to be positive. As a bonus, there's the title sheet from my 'Light Bulb Moments' display too.

HomophonesThis one depends a little on accent. For example, in Manchester our and are are homophones, as are been and bin. There is an example sentence for each word, which I'm hoping they will recall in different contexts when choosing which spelling to use in their writing.

AnglesQuestion cards about types of angle, angles within a shape, properties of angles and measuring them. These make a good Maths starter or a handy revision aid. These can also be used for Fan-n-Pick, another of my fave Kagan structures, Children work in teams of 4, child 1 fans out the cards, child 2 reads it to child 3, who answers it, child 4 paraphrases and praises. The children swap roles for the next question.

Fractions, Percentages & DecimalsYes, I am aware that decimals are a type of fraction, but I can't escape the old language! Here is a set of cards to help children to practice converting between percentages, decimal fraction and vulgar / common fractions. Again, these are good for all types of question games, maths starters etc. If you have any good ways to use them, please leave me a comment!
